VIOLA DUNN LOOKING FOR ORGAN
Searching for BURDETT ORGAN THE HOBART M.
CABLE COMPANY UNLIITED GUARANTEE INDEMNITY CERTIFICATE 1908- 1940,S My
grandparents Addison “Ad” & Leticia J. WEST Ingram were the owners of
this organ. Grandpa “Ad” passed away on April 3, 1940. Their youngest
daughter Pearl & husband Alton came by car and took Grandma and Aunt
Welthey to California so she and her sisters could take care of them.
The Burdett Organ & many other items were left in their old log cabin
home at Woolum, Van Buren Co. AR. Their son Alvin who owned a home near
them was given permission to take care of the things left in her home.
Sometime later between 1940 & 1942 My Daddy either sold or gave the
organ away. It is believed that someone in Van Buren Co. or Searcy Co.
received the organ, but it could have been given to someone living in
another county. Pearl who had kept the certificate all these years
passed away July 5, 2004, her daughter Gloria now has the certificate.
She would like to know who got the organ & if it is still in someone’s
home. Gloria wants to give the certificate to the owner if can prove
identity.
If there is anyone out there that remembers this
organ and who owned it after Grandma moved to California please write
call or email.

SEARCH FOR LOST
PICTURE
I am originally from Van
Buren County and I am searching for a large framed picture of my mother
when she was in her early teens I believe. I left this picture hanging
on the wall of a duplex on Wolf Street in Little Rock, AR in April 1953
when we moved to Los Angeles, CA.
Another family lived next
door in the same duplex. They had a son &
daughter about the same age of our two children. The Mother &
I made a
little dress & cap for our baby daughters from the same pattern. I
can not remember the family name. Maybe if they see this they will
remember me.
My husband worked for a Dr.
R.H. Hannah at Gus Blass Department Store in downtown Little Rock.
Please contact me with any information. Thanks.

FINDING A FAMILY
BIBLE
Maybe I have waited too long for
this posting to be effective, but the more time that passed the more I
feel a need for my property. This is the story.
In September, first Tuesday I
think, I attended a meeting at First Baptist Church in Clinton.
Afterward a reception for the speaker was held in the basement
kitchen. I remember leaving the reception with my Bible and a
small, blue, loose-leaf notebook in my hand. However, when I
reached home, they were not with me.
My best guess is that I laid them
on top of my car while unlocking the door, then got in the car and
drove off without retrieving them. But, later that day my
husband drove the route that I took, then together we drove it again,
and found nothing - not even strewn paper.
After leaving the church, I made
one more stop at Save-U-More grocery store. There the car was
left unlocked and, if the Bible was in the car, it would have been in
plain sight on the front seat. I cannot believe someone would
steal a Bible, and certainly not the notebook, but I am told, stranger
things have happened.
The Bible, a Thompson Chain
Reference, NIV, had many notes and notations within its pages, and
possibly a copy of How to Pray For Your Loveld Ones tucked
inside.
The notebook, contained many
personal, but not necessarily private, notes and messages.
I am not sure either had my name, address or phone
number, since all have changed since purchasing the items.
My first thought was that if someone wanted them
badly enough to keep them, then they need them worse than I.
But, now that I consider the fact that they may not know where, or how
to return them, I feel I should make an effort to get the word out.
If you have information on these items, please
contact <arearep@artelco.com>.
I can offer no reward, other than my prayers for you.

SEEKING
MOM
NOTE: The
mother and daughter reunion hoped for when the following note was posted
has now happened! Gloria and her mom found each other!!!
Hip-hip-hooray!!! The following note remains posted as a hopeful tribute
to all longings of the heart being so gladly fulfilled.
Gloria
Keller, of Flagstaff, Arizona, is seeking to locate her mother,
Henrietta "Henri" Baker who was last known to be living in or
near Van Buren County and keeping company with William "Buddy"
Smith. Gloria lost touch with her mom over two years ago. She wrote:
"I really miss my mother and she has two grandchildren growing up
without knowing her. I wish I would of been better at keeping tabs with
her, but as many, I too am guilty of being a slave to time and life in
general. I don't know what else to do. I don't know where to start. She
was always very private and our relationship was always so fragile. The
last letter I received from her was from Clinton. Last I knew she
was going to move up in the mountains more with her boyfriend who bought
an old cabin. I miss her dearly but at the same time do not want to hunt
her down if she does not wish to be found. If you get any good
ideas, or leads I would appreciate it. Thank you so much, Gloria
Keller." Contact Gloria direct at waterman@flagstaff.n
or email editor@gozarks.com and
info will be relayed.
Dog
Found
Someone dumped a dog on my
property on Dec 4th (I know who but will not mention). I have good
reason to believe she may belong to someone who lives in Fairfield Bay
or the surrounding area. The person who dropped her off works at
Fairfield Bay resort. The dog is a medium-to-large female mix;
well behaved and gentle. She gets along with other animals,
including cats. She is an older dog and appears to have had many
litters of pups. She is mostly honey brown with a little black
mixed in. She has a thick coat and white around her
muzzle. She is also well fed and it seems like someone took very
good care of her. She is a very good dog and I am
sure that someone is just heartbroken that she is missing. I would
like to return her to her family. Please contact me at nutz@hypertech.net
if you know who she belongs to. Thank you
